I knew Bob growing up in Rushville as Steve & Bob's dad and being around all the baseball diamonds. If my memory serves me correctly he coached many kids throughout the years.
Later in life I got the honor of knowing Bob better, not only as his employer but as my friend when he bartended for Raike's Place a bar/cafe' my brother Jerry and I opened in Rushville from 1979 to 1981. Prior to that it was Bill's (Sednek) Stag Bar for many years.

He was born July 26, 1928 in Rushville, Ind., the son of Elza and Mamie Brodie Beeler. He was a retired employee of the White Felt Co., Rushville, Ind., and the Pea Transfer Co.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Hammons Beeler; two sons, Stephen Beeler, Rushville, Ind., and Robert Beeler Jr., Knightstown, Ind., and six grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Moster and Cox Mortuary, Rushville, Ind.
Visitation will be at the mortuary from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
