Ernest Vernon Strunk, 66, a resident of Klamath County since 1943, died in the Veterans Hospital at Portland on July 22. He had been in the hospital since last fall. Prior to his death he was manager of the Lawrence Horton Langell Valley Ranch. Mr. Strunk was a native of Appanoose County, Iowa. He served overseas in World War II and was a member of the Klamath Falls Post American Legion. Surviving are the widow, Flo, of Langell Valley; six sons, Eugene, Cecil and Kenneth of Klamath Falls, Herbert of Malin, Leroy, Sunnyside, Wash., Jasper, serving with the 7th Fleet, U.S. Navy in the Pacific; nine daughters, Ruby Hensley. Lowell, Ore., Esther Winders, Portland, Dolores Leithold, Montsano, Wash., Eva Hankins, Helen Holloway, Edith Douglas, Irene Atwood, Caroline Strunk, all of Klamath Falls, Olga Lowther, Portland; three sisters, living in Oklahoma; also 43 grandchildren. Funeral services will be announced by O'Hair's Memorial Chapel.
