He is survived by his wife Brunhilde "Bonnie", a daughter Rebecca (John), 3 sons Oliver (Dawn), Frank (Arlene) and Eric (Sharon), a brother Claude, 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at the Jacksonville National Cemetery with full Military Honors on 30 April 2009 at 11:00 AM.
