John E. Diehl, 1701 West Filbert street, died at 11:20 o'clock yesterday morning of a complication of diseases. He had been bedfast for the past seventeen months. He was seventy-five years old The deceased leaves his wife, Mrs. Julia A. Diehl: the following children: Mrs. Fannie Cable, York; Mrs. Hattie Ketterman, Harrisburg; Mrs. Clara Allison, York; Mrs. Anna Nuzum, York; Mrs. Carl Uffelman, Harrisburg, and Adam Diehl, of Harrisburg; eighteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a brother, David Diehl, West Market street, extended. The deceased was a member of St. James Lutheran church and also of the Reliance Fire company.
