Born January 2, 1939 in Streator he was the son of Anthony and Geneva Mae (Wagher) Salvati.
He is survived by one daughter, Lori (Doug) Snell of Streator; grandchildren, Isabella and Dominic "Nico" Salvati, Doug, Joe and Max Snell; a sister, Domonica Ciaccio of Baltimore, MD. and a brother, Anthony "Tony" Salvati Jr. of Streator; nieces, Lita and Luanne Ciaccio and one nephew, Leonard Ciaccio all of Baltimore, Maryland.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dominic A. "Dom" Salvati; sister, Lita Salvati and a brother, Ralph Salvati.
Born and raised in Streator he attended Streator schools.
He served in the United States Army from 1957-1959 in Darmstaubt, Germany. He served in the 553rd Field Artillery Division.
Satch was very active in the Streator business community through the years. He owned and operated several area businesses including, Satch's Place, Herb's Cigar Store, White Chapel Restaurant and Bar and Joe's Tap.
Mass of Christian Burial: St. Anthony of Padua Church, Streator, Rev. Jerome Ham, officiate.
Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery, Streator, full military honors conducted by members of the Leslie G. Woods American Legion Post 217 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1492.
Pallbearers: Wally Roach, Ed Volkman, Red Hall, Joe Marconi, Kenny Yuhas, Ron Siebert, Dirk and Brett Locascio.
