Mrs. Herman Buttke Died Suddenly Monday
Mrs. Herman Buttke of the town of Stettin died suddenly Monday evening at about eight o'clock, a stroke of paralysis being the cause of her death. She had been enjoying her usual good health and has assisted the same evening in milking the cows and getting supper ready for the family. Shortly after supper she was suddenly taken ill. A physician was sent for, but before the physician arrived, she has expired. This was the third time that she was stricken, having been at the hospital last spring were she recovered from a previous stroke.
The deceased is survived by her husband and seven children, three sons and four daughters. She was born in the town of Stettin, thirty-nine years ago as the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Erdmann.
The earthly remains of the deceased were taken to their final resting place yesterday afternoon, funeral services talking place at the Lutheran Trinity church. Rev. Peltz officiating. The large attendance of the funeral gave evidence of the high esteem in which the deceased was held. The family of the deceased has the most hearty sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement.
