Son of Chester Rulip Rees and Frances Marie Fleming.
-Robert M. (Bob) Rees was born August 16, 1943 in Chicago, Ill. Bob died March 8, 2003. He was a resident of OKC. Bob will be missed dearly. He was a highly respected member of the Insurance community, known by everyone that did business with him as a tough, conscientious and knowledgeable agent. The Robert M. Rees Insurance Agency has served Oklahoma since 1966. Bob loved serving his clients, and over the years many became his nearest and dearest friends. One of Bob's greatest enjoyments was that of Big Band music. Over the years many people heard the sounds of his "Moonlight Serenade Orchestra" immediately recognizing his talent and demand for perfection. Bob's musical leadership began with his own band during his high school years while living in Okinawa. In his love for flying airplanes, Bob served as President of the Oklahoma City Aviation Club in 1995. Bob's zest for life was strong but his love for Linda and Bailey (the dog) brought serenity to his home life. Bob loved the OU football team. Bob had many friends that were as trusted and loyal to him, as he was to them. Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Rees and father, Chester Rees and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife Linda and her son, Doug Branch of Alexandria, VA; daughter Megan by a previous marriage; uncle, Jack Fleming of Missoula; MT cousins, Skippy Du Charme of Rathdrum, ID and Pat-ricia Perrenoud of Otis Orchards, WN. Memorial services to celebrate Bob's life will be held at Mercer Adams Funeral Home Tuesday, March 11th at 2:00 p.m. MERCER-ADAMS
