Mr. and Mrs. Tom Medlin was called to Memphis by the death of Mrs. Medlin's father, J.N. Branch. Mr. Branch died at the St. Joseph hospital in that city. The body of the aged man was taken to Alamo, Tenn.; the old home, for burial. Mrs. Branch, Mrs. Medlins mother will be here the latter part of this week to spend the winter with her daughter.

J.N. BRANCH, FATHER OF MRS. T. MEDLIN DIES
J.N. Branch died in St. Joseph Hospital at Memphis yesterday afternoon. Deceased had been a sufferer of kidney trouble a number of years and was taken to Memphis for treatment several weeks ago, in hopes that an operation would relieve his suffering, but that could not be and he passes away on Thanksgiving Day shortly before noon. Mr. Branch was the father of Mrs. Tom Medlin of this city who, with her husband and other members of her family, were with him when death came. He was a resident of Alamo, Tenn., where the body will be shipped today for burial. The relatives of the deceased have the sympathy of many friends in this community in their hour of sorrow.
