"...My father, Robert Rowden, was born in Roane Co., Tennessee October 18th, 1819, where he remained until 1838 when he went to Fort Payne, Alabama and clerked in a post store of his uncle, Hardin Rowden...
He married Nancy Anna Tyree on Nov. 10th, 1846 in Osage Co., Missouri.
