Herschell H. "Hank" Waggoner, 90, of rural Lincolnville, Indiana, died Monday, February 25, 2008 at 4:40PM at Rolling Meadows Healthcare Center in LaFontaine. He was born February 21, 1918 in Wabash County to Samuel and Esta (Hamm) Waggoner. He married Ruby Ridenour on December 21, 1938 in Lincolnville.

Hank was a member of the Lincolnville United Methodist Church. He retired from General Tire, Wabash, in 1977 after 39 years. He was also a farmer. He loved working on the backhoe and anything mechanical. He enjoyed playing euchre, cutting firewood, working in his vegetable garden, and watching basketball.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Waggoner and his daughter, Carol D. (Max) Cox, both of Wabash; his son, Wayne A. (Carol) Waggoner of LaFontaine; a sister, Ruby Baumbauer of Lincolnville; granddaughter, Kelly (Brad) Taylor of LaFontaine; three grandsons, Brent (Shari) Waggoner of Loveland, Colorado, Stan (Jennifer) Cox of Lagro, and Rod Cox of Wabash; six great-grandchildren, Hannah Waggoner of Loveland, Caitlyn Cummings and Wes Cummings both of LaFontaine, Matthew Cox of Wabash, and Hunter Cox and Logan Cox, both of Lagro. He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Slagal.
