Opal Gibson, 90, passed away Mar. 15, 2000. One of 15 children, she was born Nov. 10, 1909 in Maysville, OK, to Joseph Britt & Emma Hendrix. She married Talmege Gibson on Nov. 13, 1927. Their 3 children are Jo Frances Wood & husband Leroy, OKC; Garnetta Robinson & husband John, Houston; and Calvin Gibson, deceased. Opal was also preceded in death by her husband, 2 sisters & 5 brothers. She had 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Surviving sisters are Ruby Gibson, Harrah; BonnieGionnone and Joyce Jackson, OKC; Lillie Noble, Ft. Worth; & Dorothy Fooks, Carlsbad, NM. Surviving brothers are Billie Hendrix, Ft. Worth & "Jackie" Hendrix, Tucson, AZ. An outstanding & dedicated Christian wife, mother, grandmother, and friend she was a charter member of 60 1/2 yrs of the Choctaw Church of Christ, where services will be held Sat., Mar. 18 at 2:00 p.m with burial at Arlington Memory Gardens. Memorials may be sent to: "In Search of the Lord's Way", P.O. Box 371, Edmond, OK 73083.
