"A SUICIDE

Dr. S.N. Earp, Formerly of Baum, Took Carbolic Acid in Oklahoma City.

News reached here last night of the suicide of Dr. S.N. Earp at Oklahoma City. Deceased had a letter in his possession from County Judge I.R. Mason and a telegram was at once sent to Mr. Mason informing him of the suicide.

Dr.Earp was well known here. He practiced medicine at Baum and also at Marsden. At the latter place he was married to Miss Florence Grady, a very intelligent woman, who was teaching school at that place.

He was formerly a prominent Odd Fellow and was also a member of the Masonic fraternity. At the time of his death it was stated that he was not in good standing with the Odd Fellows.

Dr. Earp was about forty years of age. He was a successful practitioner and was his own worst enemy. The drink habit, contracted years ago grew on him until it accomplished his ruin. It is reported that he suicided by taking carbolic acid last night in Oklahoma City.

His wife is now teaching school at Canute, Okla. His father, J.W. Earp, and a brother lived at Foss, Okla."
