Edwin was the son of Joseph A and Ruth Almeda (Adams) Saunders.
He married Adelia E Bates and they had two sons, Chester and Frederick.
Tragically, they lost both sons in 1918 within months of each other. Sadly, Edwin then lost his wife Adelia just a year later.
