MRS. JOHN SHAWGO DIES IN STEPTOE, WASH., MAY 15
Mrs. Louisa Jane Shawgo died at the home of her eldest son, Charles Shawgo, at Steptoe, Washington, on May 15th, age 77 years, 10 months and 20 days.
Louisa Jane Horton was born in Shelby Co., Ohio June 25, 1850. She was united in marriage to John Shawgo, Oct. 18, 1866. She with her husband moved from Fulton County to Sprague, Washington, March 17, 1884.
Mrs. Shawgo is survived by five sons, one daughter, namely: Charles of Steptoe, Wash.; Samuel of Oakerdale, Wash.; Mrs. Minnie Jane Bowren,Ewan,Wash; William of Sprague, Wash;John, Priest River, Idaho; T. Elmer of Ewan, Wash; also one brother, Jack Horton, Urbana, Ill; two sisters, Mrs. Polly Angelo, Van Neys, Calif; Mrs. Sadie Severns, Macomb, Ill; and 32 grandchildren.
