James Archie Bolling died Monday, February 7th at the Providence Hospital, Mobile, Alabama, following a brief illness.
He was a native of Butler County and had been a resident of Perdido, Alabama, for the past 42 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lula Belle Bolling, four daughters, Mrs. Jay Powell, Stockton, Alabama; Mrs. Roland Rotch, Bay Minette, Alabama; Mrs. James Blackmon, Bay Minette, Alabama; and Miss Amy Bolling, Perdido, Alabama. One Son, James W. Bolling of Enterprise, Alabama. Three brothers, Will Bolling, Greenville, Alabama; Zema Bolling, Montgomery, Alabama; Richard Bolling, Detroit, Michigan; One sister, Mrs. Tom Page, Greenville, Alabama; Six grandchildren and other relatives.
He was employed by the L & N Railroad Company for the past 47 years, an active member and Trustee of the Church of God in Perdido.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 9th, at 11 a.m. from the Freewill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Joe Raynor and Rev. J. M. Ashmore officiating. Interment was in the Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers were Mack Chafin, Tony Downey, Leon Coleman, Jr., Edward Milstid, Maynard Coleman and Ralph Page.
Funeral arrangements were by Johnson-Funeral Home of Atmore, Alabama.
