Louis (sic) Nicholas was born in West Virginia and grew to manhood among the rugged hills. While yet a young man he came to Nebraska. He was married to Eliza (sic) Baker who preceded him to the brighter land. On December 23, 1920, he was married to Cora Sadler, and since that time they made their home at Valentine. He died at his home June 22, 1921, being 65 years, 3 months, 1 day old. He leaves two sons, William at Casper, Wyo., and Ralph of Cherry county (sic). He had lived in Valentine but a year, but in that time had made a host of friends. The remains were brought to Oak, where interment was made Sunday, Rev. Shirley of Nelson conducting the service.
