Rowena Uldean Stapp of Bedford, IN, died Saturday, September 16, 2000, at Bloomington Hospital. Born on July 26, 1918, in Cincinnati, OH, she was the daughter of Berta Brammer. She married Noble New in 1942, Caleb Sears in 1964, and James W. Stapp in 1996, all of whom preceded her in death.

Surviving are one son: Phillip New of Bedford; two step-sons: Tim Stapp of Bloomfield, IN, and Scott Stapp of Albuquerque, NM; two grandchildren, three step grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother.

She retired from being second grade elementary school teacher at Needmore in 1980. She was a graduate of both Georgetown University in Georgetown, KY, and Indiana University in Bloomington. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Bedford.

Services for Rowena Uldean Stapp will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2000, at the Free Methodist Church with the Pastor Phil Hortop officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
