Rudy Z. Adams, 90, of Van Wert, died at 8:57 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 2010, at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
He was born March 7, 1920, in Van Wert County, the son of the late Glenn and Cora (Wollet) Adams. He married Besse C. (McClure) Adams, who survives in Van Wert.
Other survivors include three children, Gregg (Barbara) Adams of Van Wert, Brock Adams of Grover Hill and Angela Tomlinson of Celina; two sisters, Joanne McCoy of Van Wert and Rosemarie (Web) Simpson of Charlotte Harbor, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Beth Ann Adams, and two brothers, Wendell B. Adams and Glenwood Adams, also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 23, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert. Burial will be in Middle Creek Cemetery in Grover Hill, with graveside military rites performed by the combined honors units of American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, both in Van Wert.
