Anna Watchowski, 97, of Dwight Township died Friday, March 5, 2004 at t he Huron County Medical Care Facility.
She was born Feb. 9, 1907 in Kinde to the late Michael and Agnes (Laseski) Wisneski. Anna married Floyd Watchowski on Nov. 25, 1925. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1988.
Anna was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kinde. She was a Holy R osary Sadality Honorary Life Member of the Daughters of Isabella for mo re than 50 years. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting. She liked worki ng in her vegetable and flower garden and visiting with family and friends.
Anna is survived by four daughters, Edna Ventline and her husband, Harry, of Port Austin, Marie Horetski and her husband, Daniel, of Kinde, Janice Osentoski and her husband, Robert, of Troy and Rose Gorney and her husband, Arnold, of Sterling Heights; 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Stella Jaworski of Detroit; one brother, Felix Wisneski and his wife, Theresa, of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Bernice Novack; and one son, Richard Watchowski.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kinde. Fr. Mieczslaw Oniskiewica will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday with a holy rosary service at 7:30 p.m., and from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday with a Daughters of Isabella service at 8:30 p.m., at the MacAlpine Funeral Home Gage Chapel in Kinde.
