Third Death in Bethany Crash Eethany, April 18 (Staff) The third victim of an airplane crash near Bethany April .1 died in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur at 4:45 p.m. today. - He was Herbert A. Majors, 24, of North Pekin, pilot of the plane. Gerry T. Majors, 14, his brother, also .of North Pekin, died two hours after the liqht plane crashed into a field east of Bethany. James Ward, 20, of Bethany, a cousin of the Majors brothers- died April 10. The Majors brothers were former Bethany residents. Civil Aeronautics Administration officials determined the accident occurred because the two-place airplane was overloaded. Macon County Deputy Coroner Robert H. Downing impaneled a jury. A joint inquest into the deaths of the three victims will be held later. Herbert Mayors leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Majors, a brother Howard, at home, and a sister. Mrs. Paul Compton of Shel-byville. lie also leaves three grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Majors, and Mrs. Amos Lansden, all of Bethanv. The body is in the Tohill Funeral Home in Bethanv. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
