Cavner, Alice – Word was received in Conway Wednesday evening of the death of Alice Cavner, at the home of her aunt in Springfield, Mo., at whose home she was visiting.
She contracted pneumonia and while everything possible was done to help her recover, she did not rally, and died Wednesday evening, September 9. She will be greatly missed by her family and a host of friends here.
Obituary - Alice Cavner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Cavner, was born February 6, 1911, and died at the home of her aunt in Springfield, Mo., September 9, 1931, at the age of 20 years, 7 months and 3 days.
Besides her parents she is survived by three brothers, Samuel, William and Charles, and one sister, Ada, all at home. Also a number of aunts and uncles and a host of friends.
Alice had a bright, sunny disposition and made many friends wherever she went, and she will be greatly missed.
In 1925 she united with the Conway church and remained a member of the church and Sunday school until her death. She graduated with the Conway class of 1925.
The Royal Neighbor lodge, of which she was a member, had charge of the funeral at the cemetery.
She was also a member of Prof. Wilkins' Taylor county band, which organization attended the funeral services.
Funeral services were held in the Conway church Sunday afternoon,
September 13, conducted by Rev. Wilkins and burial was made in Conway cemetery.
