Guy S Westphal, 77, of 109 Newnam Ave., Kendallville, died Thursday in McCray Hospital. He was born in Kendallville Jan. 21, 1912, the son of Charles and Zilpha Westphal. He was retired from Flint & Walling Mfg. and formerly owned Westphal Appliance Store in Kendallville. Surviving are 2 daughters, Sonia Bailey and Gail E. Temple, Kendallville; 2 sons, Michael of Huntertown, and Sheridan C. of Fort Wayne; a sister, Ruth Gilbert of Kalamazoo, Mich.; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. One brother preceded him in death. Services Sunday in Hite Funeral Home, Kendallville. Burial, Lake View Cemetery.
