Services for Mary Rawls, 71, of Bledsoe will be held 2 p.m. today at Bledsoe Baptist Church with the Rev. Hollis Shewmake, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Morton Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Ellis Funeral Homes.

She died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999, at Cochran Memorial Hospital in Morton.

She was born Aug. 8, 1928, in Proffitt. She married Harrel Rawls on Aug. 3, 1946, in Clovis, N.M. He died July 16, 1991. She was a longtime resident of Bledsoe. She was a member of Bledsoe Baptist Church. She owned and operated Marcilla's Beauty Shop. She was chairwoman of the Democratic Party Precinct No. 3 in Cochran County. She was on the board of the Juvenile Courts of Cochran County and an election judge of Precinct No. 3.

Survivors include two sons, Benny of Kingwood and Terry of Lubbock; a daughter, Drewcilla Griffiths of Fort Worth; four sisters, Agnes Gober of Weatherford, Helen Cox of Morton, Corine Bowen and Ray Dell Gothard, both of Arlington; three brothers, George Bellomy of Fort Worth, Berry Bellomy of Throckmorton and Bobby Bellomy of Arlington; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
