Virginia was born on October 10, 1923 to Arthur and Goldie (Alexander) Lashbrook in Colfax, Indiana. To this union were born four children: Frances Weir, Mary (Tony) Smith and Dan (Susie) Weir, all of Casey, Illinois; and Bonnie Harris of O'Fallon, Missouri. She has been blessed with seven grandchildren: Terenia (Bill) Davis of Oblong, IL; Marlen Smith of Casey; Toni Taylor of Casey; Laura (Matt) Morecraft of Charleston, IL; Dustin Weir of Sherman Oaks, CA; Lincoln Weir of Indianapolis, IN; and Aaron Harris of O'Fallon, MO, along with eleven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was a member of the Casey White Oak Church of God, where she was a Sunday School teacher for 50 to 60 years and a member of the Young at Hearts and WCSC. When she was 11 years old, she asked Jesus to come live in her heart. She stayed true to this commitment all through her life, letting her light shine for Christ. Her constant faith showed in her life, as she never judged or talked badly about others.

Funeral services in honor of Virginia's life will be held at Markwell Funeral Home in Casey, Illinois at 1:30 p.m.. on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 with Rev. Kenny Inman and Rev.
