Mrs. Sarah Aaron

Mrs. Sarah Jane Burge Aaron, 79, died Dec. 13 [per gravestone, Dec. 11] at the home of her daughter, Mrs. B.H. [Elizabeth] Gillespie, in Lincoln. Born in Delphi, Ind., she came with her parents to Nebraska in 1867, settling in Pawnee county. In 1878 she married Dr. Morris M. Aaron of Pawnee City, who died in 1913. To them were born eight children, four sons, William M. who died in 1911, Albert M., Martin L. and LeRoy G.; four daughters, Lula C., Mary L., Clara J. and Elizabeth B.; twenty-three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by Richard R. Burge, a brother.

Her life was devoted to her children, her home and her church. She was a member of the Methodist church. Among those who will mourn her passing are many friends at Milford where she lived for many years.

Services were held at Hodgmans chapel Dec. 14, at 2 o’clock, Rev. J.D.M. Buckner in charge. Pallbearers were Andrew Tangeman, William H. Smith, B.H. Gillespie, Dale Eaton, Larry Welch, Albert Williams. Burial in Wyuka. (The Lincoln Star, Lincoln, NE, December 17, 1933)
