Bob was born May 6, 1921 in Royal Oak, MI to Harold Ray Rogers and Mae Empie Haka Rogers. He had one sister.

After graduating from Royal Oak High School Bob enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps and eventually reached the rank of Tech Sgt. He served in the Pacific from 1942 until the end of WW II. Bob met and married Ouida Thompson while he was stationed in Meridian, MS. After the war they settled in Royal Oak, MI and had two daughters and eventually five grandchildren.

Bob worked for the Detroit Edison Company from 1946 until his retirement in 1980. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, jokes, family history and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved animals, especially dogs. After retirement Bob and Ouida moved to Northern Michigan and lived at Canada Creek Ranch. He died on February 24, 1993 and is buried at Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak, MI.
