Edna was the daughter of Oscar E. & Louisa Swenson of Brooklyn, NY. She spent her girlhood summers at the shore in Keansburg, NJ, where she met her husband Percival T. Bulger. Mr. Bulger, along with his mother and step-father, Herman and Margaret (Donahue) Hubert, had two butcher shops, one in Keyport and one in Keansburg. They also owned "The Holland House", a summer boarding house, in Keansburg.
Edna moved to Keyport in 1922, when she married Percy. They resided together at 181 Beers Street where they raised their son, John P. Bulger, who was a Keyport High School teacher in the 1950's. Percy died in 1964 at the age of 76. Edna lived to be 100 years old before her death.
