The Rev. Wm. Spindler of Ava conducted funeral services at Goodhope Wednesday for A. W. Archer. Burial was in the Goodhope cemetery under direction of the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home.
Mr. Archer was born in Bloomingfield, Iowa, Sept. 4, 1864. He spend his early days in Iowas, and was married to Susan Stover in 1885.
To this marriage eight children were born. In 1908 he moved with his family to Douglas county and settled on a farm west of Ava where he spent the remainder of his life.
His wife preceded him in death eleven years ago. Seven children survive: Frank and Gilbert of Selah, Washington; Ephraim, Malvern, Ia.; Arthur, Denver, Colo.; Anna Bailey, Harrisonville, Mo.; Walter, Ava, and Sylvia Garrison of the home.
