Mrs. Margaret Ann Hunt, 81, passed away at the Pioneer Memorial hospital in Heppner on June 12 after a long illness.

She was the daughter of George and Sierra (Shick) Hunt and was born in Little Shasta Valley, California on May 15, 1872. The family moved to Morrow county in 1881 and she was married to Edward Baker Hunt August 7, 1892. He preceded his wife in death as did one daughter Vera Mae.

Survivors are: one son, Earl Edward of Heppner, five sisters, Mrs. Ella Goldsmith, Yakima; Mrs. Stella Connor, Seattle; Mrs. Minnie Brosche, Seattle, Mrs. Isabel Hughes, Seattle and Mrs. Ida Hansen, Hillsboro; one granddaughter and two great grandsons.

Services were held Sunday June 14 from the Phelps Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J. N. Brown officiating. Interment was in the Masonic Cemetery in Heppner.

Newspaper is unknown and the article has been in the records at the Heppner Museum.
