Clifford "Sandy" Burton-Hodson, 46, a resident of Monitor, died Friday evening May 23, 1997, at Dryden, after a tragic accident.

He was born at Wenatchee to Clifford Earl Burton Sr. and Helen Geraldine (Dunlap) on April 20, 1951. At an early age he moved with his family to Southern California, where he was raised and educated, graduating from Rancho Alameda High School.

"Sandy" moved back to Wenatchee in 1973 and went to work for the U.S. Forest Service as a firefighter. Sometime in the mid-'80s he went to work for Bardin's fruit warehouse as a mechanic, working not only on the forklifts and trucks, but also on the sorting lines.
