JAMES V. GILMORE SERVICES HELD WEDNESDAY

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:30pm in the First Freewill Baptist Church here for James V. "Jim" Gilmore, 66, who died Monday, October 27, 1969, in the Wagoner Community Hospital following an apparent heart attack. Pastors Danny Farmer and C.J. Stump officiated.

Burial was made in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of the Mallett-Green Funeral Home in Wagoner.

Pallbearers included Vestus Baker, Clyde Freeman, Lewis Maner, Ulmont Farmer, Burt Johnson and Lester Thomas.

A retired custodian at the Wagoner High School, Gilmore was born January 25, 1903 in Red Rock, Arkansas and moved to Wagoner County, Oklahoma in 1922. He was a member and deacon of the First Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Velma, of the home; two sons, John Loy Gilmore of Inola, Oklahoma, and Jimmy Dale Gilmore of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Lou Hutchins of Ada, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Alice Ray Dunway of Tulsa; a brother, Scott Gilmore of Wagoner; two sisters, Mrs. Finer Burdine of Harrison, Arkansas, and Mrs. Inez Cunningham of Lakewood, California; along with 11 grandchildren.
