1890 Nebraska Veteran's Schedule, Vieregg Township, Merrick co.: Served as a private in Co. C, Vet Res Corps Vol. 20 Oct 1861 - 20 Oct 1864. Remarks: Libby Prison for 18 days, Parolle (the rest illegible.)

The funeral of John Buchannan(sic) who died yesterday morning at his home northeast of the city, will take place from the home Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Interment will be made at the Wiegert cemetery.
