Leonard Wilson Holdren was born on May 15, 1911 to Harold Edwin Holdren and Martha Mae Holdren(Anderson)in Lincoln, Nebraska. "Dutch", as he was known to his family and friends married the love of his life Eileen Lucille Harrison on December 20, 1936. He was a drummer in a dance band that traveled on the same circuit as Lawrence Welk during the 1930's. He moved with his family from Nebraksa to Nevada in 1941 and moved from Winnemucca to Elko in 1948. He retired from the US Postal Service in 1973 after 16 years of service. He was an active member of the Elks and St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Elko. He loved baseball and his family very much. He went to be with our Lord on September 3, 1981. He was survived by his wife Eileen of Elko who passed away in 1999, brother Clifford of Winnemucca who passed away in 1983, sister Mabel of Winnemucca who passed away in 1996, sons Leonard (Rita) and James of Elko, and four granddaughters. He is greatly missed by his family and friends.
