A native of Ashgrove, Mrs. Walter Elifritz, succumbed to a heart attack at her home in Edgar, Nebraska on June 28th.
Born in Ashgrove on Mar. 29, 1881, she went to Nebraska with her mother in the Spring of 1899. On March 27, 1901,
she was united in marriage with Walter Elifritz, of Edgar, and to this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Dora Moss
of Madras Oregon,
Mrs. Elifritz was a faithful member of Edgar Methodist Church. In 1909, she joined the Rebekah Lodge and in 1932 was
elected president of the State Rebekah Assembly. Funeral services were held on Monday, July 2, from Edgar
Methodist Church, conducted by her pastor, Rev. S.W.Longacre. Mrs. E.J.Mort and E.M. Aishing sang "Jesus is Calling,"
"Rock of Ages" and "Under His Wings", Mrs. Lydia Phelps at the piano. Pallbearers were: Wade Babers, Jim Hatten,
Irvin Branstitre, Earl Basey, V.W.Cassell and Lem Shipley. Interment was made in Edgar Cemetery.
Surviving besides her husband and daughter are a granddaughter, Maxine Salser, of Nyassa, Oregon, a grandson,
Jimmie Moss of Madras, Oregon, and a great-grandson, also two brothers, Will and Alex Warren in Ontario, and a sister,
Mrs. Violet McCulloch, Erin.
