Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon for Mrs Amanda E Franke, 65, who died at 11:15 pm Monday at her home on RR8, Fernwood Avenue. She had been bedfast eight months. Her husband, HD Franke died in 1946.
Mrs Franke, a member of the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church is survived by a daughter, Mrs Luella Lawe, at home; three brothers, Lawrence Gotsch, Chicago, Walter, Aurora, and Otto, Fort Wayne; and one grandchild, Dennis Richard Lawe.
Service will be held at 2 pm Thursday at the Scheumann-Van-Buskirk Funeral Home, the Rev HH Backs officiating. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery and friends are asked to omit flowers. Fort Wayne Journal Gazette - March 17, 1948
