Edward J. Taylor, 78, died at the home of his son and daughter in- law, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn E. Taylor, Bendersville, Wednesday evening at 5:45 o'clock of a heart attack.

Mr. Taylor had suffered a first attack at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon and his physician. Dr. P. J. McGlynn, was summoned. He was apparently recovering from the first heart attack when he suffered a second which caused the death.

A son of the tlate Solomon J. and Ellen (Hoke) Taylor, he was a native of Adams County and had resided for the last 40 years in Bendersville. He was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Bendersville, and of the Men's Bible Class of that church, and was also a member of the Bendersville Fire Co.

His wife, the former Mary Routsong, died in 1940.

Survivors include two sons, Carl O. Taylor and Glenn E. Taylor, both of Bendersville; four grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Nora Warren, Arendtsville.

Funeral services Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Dugan Funeral Home, Bendersville, with his pastor, the Rev. Dr. O. D. Coble officiating.

Interment in the Bendersville Cemetery.

Friends may call Friday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock at the funeral home
