Lula Bell Patterson Evans Powell was born Septermber 15,1889 near Little Onion Creek,Byrd,Ellis County,Texas.She was the youngest child of Wylie Josiah and Mary Elizabeth Wear Patterson.She was only 6 months old when her father died. She only knew her step father Henry Davis as her father.
She grew up in a large household having 4 older siblings and 4 step siblings and 2 half siblings.
She was married to Robert Evans and Lemuel E. Powell Sr,both preceding her in death.
Preceded in death also by her parents,several siblings and a grandson.
She is survived by 2 sons,their wives,children and grandchildren.
She had the most beautiful red hair in her younger life .She kept a ponytail of it in her memory box.
She passed from this life on February 2,1974,in Terrell, Kaufman County ,Texas and was laid to rest along side her husband Lem and grandson in the family plot Mount Olive Cemetery,Scurry,Kaufman County,Texas.
