Anna Jane Beechwood was the daughter of Samuel M. and Margaret M. (Hill) Farmer. She was born in Marion, Kentucky on August 23, 1877. Her first marriage was to a Mr. Parker, with whom she had a son, Lionel A. Parker. A minister of the Gospel married Edward A. Beechwood and Annie J. Parker on 20 May 1901 in Tacoma, Washington. The couple had three sons: George A. Beechwood of Hamilton, Montana; Emmett L. Beechwood and Dwight A. Beechwood, both of Tacoma.
Mr. and Mrs. Beechwood were admitted to the Washington Veterans' Home on June 3, 1948 on account of his service in the Spanish American War.
Annie passed away March 21, 1951 at the Home Hospital. Her four sons and two grandsons acted as pallbearers at her funeral. She was laid to rest in the Home Cemetery.
