GALESBURG - Rose M. Cooley, 67, 121 W. Simmons St., died at 4:55 a.m. Thursday (April 16, 2009) at Heartland Health Care Center in Galesburg.
She was born on May 16, 1941, in Galesburg, the daughter of Hobart and Bertha Steagall Woolsey.
She married Lawrence E. Cooley on Nov. 9, 1963, in Knoxville.
Surviving are several cousins, including Merle Wall, Maxine Mundwiler, Kathryn Morse, Dave Morse and Danny Morse, all of Galesburg; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter
She was raised and educated in Knoxville. She was a homemaker and worked at the former St. Martha's Nursing Home in Knoxville and Danner's Bakery in Galesburg.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday (April 23, 2009) at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Galesburg.
There will be no visitation. The Rev. Doug Soper will officiate.
