Myrtus M. Ferry October 11, 1920 - April 14, 2009 COLCHESTER, CT

Myrtus Marie Ferry, 88, formerly of Chase Manor, passed away April 14, 2009 at Harrington Ct. She was born Oct. 11, 1920 in Auburn, MA, the daughter of the late Louelyn and Bertha Wilson.She was married to the late Armando "Herman" P. Ferry, who predeceased her. She had worked at Norwich Free Academy for many years in the cafeteria and was active in the Norwich Womens City Club. She was a communicant of Sts. Peter and Paul Church where where she was a member of the 050 club. She is survived by her children Myrtice Ferry of Norwich, Patricia Gillespie and husband Leonard J. of Malvern PA, by her sister Elizabeth Merrit and by her grandchildren Leonard J., Shannon P., Susan P. and husband Fred, Michael G., and Armando P. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her granddaughter Kelly Ann Gillespie. Calling hours will be held at the Church and Allen Funeral Home in Norwich on Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Norwich at 10 am. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Myrtus Ferry's memory may be made to the Kelly Ann Gillespie Memorial Fund, c/o Great Valley School District, 47 Church Rd., Malvern PA 19355. The Church and Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St. Norwich, is entrusted with arrangements.
