He was retired from the Teamsters Union. He was a truck driver for Norwalk Truckline and Spector Redball.
He was a World War II Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. He served in the Silent Service in the Pacific Theater, Pearl Harbor, and Australia. He was also in the U.S. Naval Reserves serving in the Seabees.
He volunteered as a driver for the Shuttle Bus Veteran taking veterans to the V.A. Hospitals.
