ATTICA - Mary E. Dillman Funk, 82, formerly of Attica, died at 1:15 AM Saturday, June 3, 1995, in Putnam County Hospital in Greencastle. Born Dec. 16, 1912, in Lafayette, she grew up in Attica and graduated from Attica High School. She lived in Lafayette five years, moved to Carmel in 1959, lived there until 1984, then moved to the home of her granddaughter, Molly Hammmond, in Clayton in 1989.

She married Orville Eugene Funk on Dec. 24, 1917, in Attica; he died March 10, 1978. Mrs. Funk formerly worked in the cafeteria at Carmel High School and Carmel Elementary School. She also worked for the Woolco store. She enjoyed sewing and cooking.

Surviving are two daughters, Sharon (Mrs. James) Pheifer of Rockville and Mrs. Ginny Goodnight of Brownsburg; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Burgett of Brookston and Mrs. Kate Workinger of West Lafayette; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
