Obituary from The Register Guard, Eugene, Lane, OR, Monday, Jan. 4, 1937, page 3, col. 2 & 3:

Mrs. Cora L. DeLong died late Saturday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alma Breshears, 1577 Moss street, following an illness of seven years.

Mrs. DeLong was born Nov. 20, 1868, in Scott, West Virginia. At the age of 17 she went to Missouri and was married in that state to Steve DeLong. Mr. DeLong died 10 years ago in California. Mrs. DeLong had lived in Oregon 35 years, most of the time at Cove, and the past seven years at Eugene. She was a member of the Rebekah lodge in Cove.

Surviving are the one daughter, Mrs. Alma Breshears; three grandchildren; four brothers, Labe, John, and Clarence Richards of Cove, and Walter Richards of LaGrande; one sister, Mrs. W. N. Neville, of Long Beach, Cal.

The body is being sent by Poole chapel to LaGrande. Services and burial will be held at Summerville.
End of obit.

Cora married William Joseph Long on 19 Jan 1887 in St. Clair Co., MO. She and her family traveled by rail to Oregon in 1887. Cora and William would have been newlyweds, and she would have been pregnant during the trip, making it especially difficult on her. Her daughter, Alma, was born after their arrival in Oregon.

After William Long's untimely death in 1908, Cora married Martin Gilbert Harsin Nov. 10, 1910 in Cove, Union, OR. They divorced before 1914.

Cora and John Steven (Steve) DeLong remarried 3 Jan 1914 in Vancouver, Clark Co., WA

Her death certificate and obituary are under the surname DeLong, but she was returned to Union Co. for burial next to William Long, and her headstone reads Cora Long.
