Obituary.
Frances Barton [sic] was born in Richmond county, Va., March 30, 1808, thus making her 85 years, 1 month and 12 days old. She was married to Wm. Towler in 1833 and there were born to them eight children, four of whom, one son and three daughters, survive. She moved with her husband to Greenup county, Ky., in 1835, thence to Illinois in 1855 and since that time has been a resident of Hancock and McDonough counties. She is grand parent of thirty children and great-grand parent of twenty-three children. She was a member of the Baptist church in honor and high esteem for over fifty years.
Her husband died in 1855 and in 1859 she was married to Joshua White, who has been dead some 15 years. She was known as an industrious, patient and faithful woman. She lived her allotted time and has gone to her reward.
