Native of Jewett Will Be Buried Monday At Sardis
JEWETT - Funeral services for former longtime Jewett resident Mrs. Anna Beene Long, 92, will be held Sunday in Texas City. Graveside rites will be conducted Monday morning at 11 o'clock in Sardis cemetery in Leon County under direction of the Green Funeral Home of Centerville.
Mrs. Long, who was born and reared in Jewett, died Friday night at 7:30 in her home at Texas City. She was a Baptist.
Among the survivors are four nieces, Mrs. Bill Kennedy of Personville, Mrs. Ross Foley, Mrs. Fran Robinson and Mrs. Roger Williams, all of Jewett; two nephews, Spuriell Tracy and Raymond Beene, both of Jewett.
Others are two daughters, Mrs. Mattie Collins and Mrs. Florence Hart, two sons, Lee Long of Texas City and Floyd Long of Borger; a brother, Jim Beene of San Marcos; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
