Edmund Edwin Reeh, 91, of Fredericksburg, died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006, at Knopp Assisted Living Center.

A funeral mass was celebrated Saturday, Jan. 7, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Tony Vilano officiating. Mary Ann Murchison was the organist and the St. Mary's Adult Choir sang.

Interment followed in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

A vigil service was held Friday, Jan. 6, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home where the body lay in state prior to the funeral.

Reeh, a farmer and rancher, was born Feb. 19, 1914, in Gillespie County, the son of Kuno Reeh and Olga Eckert Reeh. He married Lottie Maurer on Sept. 26, 1939, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Harper and she preceded him in death.

He is survived by two daughters, two sons and spouses, including Alton and Wanda Reeh, Julia and Ray Rodriguez, Lillian and Reinhard Wehmeyer and Larry and Diane Reeh, all of Fredericksburg.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Cora, Mrs. Erwin Reeh, of Fredericksburg.

In addition to his wife and parents, Reeh was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers, including Tillie Bernhard, Selma Weinheimer, Ernest Reeh and Erwin Reeh.
