Smithville - Evie Mary Lindsey, 91, died Thursday at Gilmore Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. Born and reared in Lamar County, Ala., she had resided in Smithville since 1938 where she was a homemaker and member of the Liberty Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pickle Funeral Home in Smithville with the Rev. Tommy Whaley officiating. Burial was in Pickle Cemetery.
Survivors are nine grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were David Moffett, Jimmy Moffett, Bryan Moffett, Ricky Watson, Harry Cox and James Vaughan.
