TEN-YEAR ILLNESS FATAL TO JOHN N. (sic) PERSLEY
John N. Persley, 58-year-old Container corporation employee, died at 5:40 o'clock Sunday morning at his home at 839 Erie Street after a 10-year illness with arthritis.
The body was taken to the Jones Funeral Home and was to be returned to the late residence Monday morning to await services. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Wesleyan Methodist church of which he was a member. Rev. R. D. Wise will officiate and burial will be in the Center Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Persley was born Aug. 13, 1882, in Tipton County to Jacob and Rhoda Ellen (Moore) Persley, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married to Anna Porter on April 25, 1908. Twenty-eight years ago they moved to Wabash from Elwood and have lived here since then.
The widow and the following children survive: Esther Spencer and Glen Persley, both of Wabash, and Howard Persley, North Manchester.
