Services are Friday for Marvin J Hulsey, who died Monday evening at a local convalescent hospital after a long illness. He was 80.

Mr Hulsey, a native of Okmulgee, Okla, was in the Army Air Corps during World War II, and spent 13 months as a prisoner of war in Austria. He worked as an accountant for 33 years with F M C Corporation until his retirement in 1970. He lived in Santa Cruz on a part-time basis from 1971 to 1972 before moving here permanently in 1981. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Riverside.

He is survived by his wife, June Hulsey of Santa Cruz; four daughters, Barbara Bach of Kennewick, Wash, Laura Aloot of San Jose, Anne Sairs of San Jose and Pat Ryan of Hayward; his brother, Everret Hulsey of Chickasha, Okla; and eight grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 11 am Friday at Norman's Family Chapel, 3620 Soquel Ave, Soquel, with the Rev David V Summers of Live Oak Methodist Church officiating. Private inurnment will be held at Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno at a later date.

Contributions to the Cabrillo College Stroke Center, 501 Upper Park Road, Santa Cruz, 95065, are preferred.
