Mr. Cyrus Chronister departed this life on Saturday, October 12, aged 81 years. Mr. Chronister lived for years at Centre Line, on the property at the Centre County line. He was a farmer all his years, an honest, upright citizen. He was postmaster at Centre Line for many years and also carried the mail from Warriorsmark to his own office until the office was discontinued. He was a life long democrat, was a consistent member of the Lutheran church and died trusting in a better life. Rev. A. J. Bean, his pastor, conducted the funeral services on Sunday at 10 o'clock and the remains were laid to rest in the Lutheran graveyard at Centre Line. He leaves a wife and one son, Jacob, and one daughter, Mrs. Henry Cupp, to mourn for him, beside a large number of relatives and friends.
